Well, back to the swing of things! May is not a terribly busy month, but there are a few things happening worth taking note. High school hockey is in full swing, and so far, they have a 1-3 record, which is definitely better than a 0-4 record. Registration for next year’s classes for my 2 in school has come and gone. We have a first day of a summer job coming up this month! Eldest is still working as much as he can (although he could work more often IMO) and the husband is working hard as always.
I am getting over being sick, as well as one of my kids. My husband seems to be ill but trying to work from home. He works too hard. I think he needs to take some time to recover, but I know he won’t. He does a lot for the family, and I do appreciate him, but sometimes I think he needs to take some time for himself. He does stream on Wednesdays, but I think there are days he just needs to get away from us for a bit.
Here is a rundown on the things I’m up to this month:
MAGAZINE: I am helping out doing reads for Factor Four magazine. I have been enjoying it so far, and I hope to continue doing it off and on. Having a queue that needs reading is a great problem to have!
BLOG: This. Restarting a blog was a thought I had, and although I was unable to get my old blog back, I can start anew and type out life updates as well as gaming updates, book updates, manga updates, etc.
WRITING: I have a story out that I am hoping to get published. I am hoping to continue writing more flash fiction to try to get published. Right now I’m in the 130’s on the list of the current publication I have submitted. Hoping for good news.
YOUTUBE: I started a YouTube channel! I have uploaded a few videos and scheduled a few out so I have all of the month of May taken care of. I currently have it set up to launch a video once a week, but if it takes off, I will try to upload more often. At the moment, most of my videos are geared towards anime, but I hope to shift to other content, such as video games and life updates.
WORK: I do have a job that I go to. I am lucky enough to work the day shift. I currently have Tuesdays and Wednesdays off.
READING: I am currently reading stories for Factor Four magazine as well as reading manga for personal reasons. I am reading so many that it can be a separate blog post! I’ll list them at the end of this post and hope to update on progress with other entries.
MOM DUTIES: Usually this entails getting some children to and from places, like the hockey rink or after school activities. I don’t have to do this too much, but I do it occasionally. My husband does the hockey rink driving a lot more than I do, but I do help out from time to time.
WATCHING TWITCH STREAMS: I do this more often than I like to admit. I watch quite a few streams on Twitch, and I will eventually list some of my favorites here soon.
PHONE: And lastly, I am on my mobile phone way too much. But I am play games on it, do social media, and use it as a phone.
May is also the month to celebrate one of my niece’s birthday, as well as Memorial Day. And next month will be pretty busy for my family. Stay tuned!
Now to end this entry with the games I have been playing as well as the manga I am reading!
