Well, I started this entry by writing the title. In July. It is almost October. Oops. Well, I guess better late than never.
It has been a busy few months since I have last updated, and it seems that it will stay that way until the end of the year. Since it looks like I was going to post something in July, and didn’t, I’ll start with July first.
JULY
July was a busy month for my husband and me. For starters, I had my birthday, and then we had our 21st wedding anniversary a few days later. We didn’t really celebrate it on the day, since it was a workday for both of us, but we definitely celebrated it later. That’s because later in the month, we went to Japan! It was the best 10 days ever. Well, it felt that way. We went to Tokyo, Kyoto, then back to Tokyo. I definitely want to go back already. We saw Tokyo Tower, the hundred torii gates shrine (Fushimi Inari Shrine), lots of Pokemon centers, Nintendo shops, lots of Don Quixote’s, way too much walking, and definitely lots of sightseeing. I took some pictures, but my husband was definitely the photographer of our trip. We also flew first class, which I haven’t done since I was younger and the first time actually paying for it. We also got lots of souvenirs, including rings that we custom made there. They are both engraved with 21 and a heart symbolizing our anniversary. It was definitely hard to return home after that, but we did. I hope we get to go again, but maybe not during peak summertime, since it was really hot there.
AUGUST
Considering how busy June and July were, August wasn’t terribly busy. My middle son looked into school, since his first choice had a year long waitlist for the program he wanted to do. My youngest had a day to gather the stuff he needed for the start of the school year. He is the only one left in school to worry about. Most of this month was spent going to work and back and playing some video games on my downtime.
SEPTEMBER
September was kind of a busy month. My oldest son had his birthday, which we went out to eat to celebrate. My middle son got into the community college that was one of his back ups, and then decided to move with his aunt so he didn’t have to commute as far to go there. He spent the rest of the month packing his things, tying up loose ends, and getting his things from one place to another. My oldest and middle son are both looking for work. My oldest has a job, but it is very part time. Again, my husband and I went back and forth to work, and hung out playing games, watching anime, and streaming. I started streaming on my own Twitch channel again, and I’m trying to stick to a schedule as best as I can.
And that pretty much gets us up to date. I’ve been fighting off a dumb sicko bug the last couple of days, so I’m trying to get rid of that, but I am also playing games, reading books, and trying to check off things on my list to either get done or to try to stay on top of the hobbies I have. I’m hoping to update this blog more consistently now. But time will tell, of course.
